Agenda Exhibition 2026 – 19th Edition

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will inaugurate the Agenda Exhibition, titled “Meter x Meter: A Free Space for Creativity,” in its 19th edition, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the East and West Exhibition Halls of the Library's Conference Center.

The Agenda Exhibition is an annual exhibition organized by the Exhibitions and Art Collections Department of the Cultural Communication Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It is considered one of the most important art exhibitions in Egypt today. The exhibition began in 2008 and continues to this day, now in its 19th edition.

Since its inception, the exhibition has featured hundreds of artists working in various artistic fields, including photography, sculpture, engraving, painting, ceramics, and video art. This annual event aims to provide young artists with an opportunity to showcase their work alongside more experienced artists, including some who are leading figures in their respective fields. This year, applications for participation in the exhibition were announced on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, and closed on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The selected artists were announced on Monday, April 27, 2026. A total of 1,137 artists applied, and the selection committee chose 193 to participate. The committee aimed to include as many artworks as the exhibition space could accommodate, thus allowing for the participation of as many artists as possible.

The participating artists included 78 from Alexandria, 69 from Cairo and Giza, and 46 from other governorates across Egypt, such as Beheira, Beni Suef, Damietta, Dakahlia, Fayoum, Gharbia, Luxor, Sohag, and Minya.

The exhibition also featured artists from other governorates, including Beheira, Beni Suef, Damietta, Dakahlia, Fayoum, Gharbia, Luxor, Sohag, and Minya. The exhibition continues until Saturday, August 29, 2026. Daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, except Fridays.
