the third Cairo International Biennale for Children's Art
The Minister of Culture inaugurates the third Cairo International Biennale for Children's Art on Tuesday. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, inaugurated the third Cairo International Biennale for Children's Art on Tuesday, August 12, at 7:00 PM at the Palace of Arts. The Biennale is organized by the Fine Arts Sector, headed by Dr. Walid Qanoush, in cooperation with the Faculty of Art Education and the AMSEA (Education through Art - Africa and the Middle East) Association. Themed "Climate Change," the exhibition includes approximately 300 artworks by children from 17 countries: Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, Romania, Poland, Oman, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Yemen, India, the Philippines, Iraq, Sudan, Jordan, and Ukraine. The Biennale's Higher Committee is composed of Dr. Serya Sedky, Chairperson, and Dr. Ahmed Hatem Saeed, General Commissar; Dr. Salwa Hamdy, Head of the Central Administration for Museums and Exhibitions; Dr. Maha Mazid; and Dr. Randa Fakhry. For his part, Dr. Ahmed Hatem, the General Commissar, said, "The third edition of the Cairo International Children's Art Biennale presents the world's children's vision of climate change in their surroundings, their perspective on this topic, and their expression of the image they wish to present to the world, their dreams, and what they hope to see in the future. The expression of the world's children in this edition of the Biennale will be the future vision of the world's children today and of the world's leaders in the near future."
