the sixth edition of the Egypt International Art Triennale
Under the slogan "Communication and Overcoming Barriers," the sixth edition of the Egypt International Art Triennale will open next Tuesday. The Fine Arts Sector announces the return of the Egypt International Art Triennale, after a nineteen-year absence. The opening ceremony will be attended by Dr. Ahmed Fouad Heno, Minister of Culture, and will be attended by Dr. Walid Qanoush, Head of the Sector, and members of the International Jury, headed by Dr. Ahmed Nawar, along with several ministry leaders and ambassadors of participating countries. The event will take place at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Palace of Arts in the Cairo Opera House Square. Over 200 artists representing 33 countries will participate in the upcoming sixth edition, showcasing approximately 350 artworks. The upcoming edition will also honor seven prominent artists in the field of engraving: Magdy Kenawy, Magdy Abdel Aziz, Medhat Nasr, Awad El-Shemy, Abdel Wahab Abdel Mohsen, Salah El-Meligy, and Hamdy Abu El-Maati. On this occasion, Dr. Wael Abdel Sabour, General Commissar of the Triennale, and Dr. Hani Al-Ashqar, Commissar of the Egyptian Pavilion, are honored to invite artists, critics, and the public to attend the opening.
