More than 30 major international institutions from Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Tunisia, Kuwait, Denmark, France, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Mali, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Jordan, the United States, and Uzbekistan are participating in the Biennale.
The Diriyah Biennale Foundation has commissioned more than 20 artists from the Kingdom, the region, and the rest of the world to produce new artworks that will complement the historical narrative of the exhibition.
The Biennale will give its visitors a rare opportunity to see antiquities and artifacts from the Two Holy Mosques.
The Diriyah Biennale Foundation has announced the selection of “And What’s in Between” as the title for the second edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale, which will open its doors to visitors from January 25 to May 25, 2025 in the Western Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the main gateway for the guests of God to perform Hajj and Umrah rituals in the House of God.
The Biennale will feature a wide range of historical Islamic artifacts and contemporary art works under one umbrella, urging its visitors to contemplate the richness of Islamic heritage and civilization, and the various forms of creative expression thereof.
