Beginnings Exhibition

The Fine Arts Sector, headed by Dr. Walid Qanoush, is organizing a symposium and open discussion about the “Beginnings” exhibition, on Thursday, November 23, at five o’clock in the afternoon, at the Palace of Arts, Opera House. Dr. Reda Abdel Salam and the writer Sayyed will speak at the open symposium. Mahmoud and Dr. Ali Saeed.

The Beginnings Exhibition is a multi-session show that begins the exhibition season at the Palace of Arts. It is an artistic gathering that sheds light on the beginnings of some Egyptian artists with influential experiences from different generations, from the pioneers to the millennial generation.

The presentation of a large number of the beginnings of pioneers such as: Mahmoud Saeed, Naji, Saif, Adham Wanly, Mukhtar and others was deliberately postponed, to ensure subsequent editions no less powerful than the first edition, as well as some contemporaries with important experiences.

The first cycle of “Beginnings” is an experimental cycle, and in the end it is the beginnings of artists who themselves saw that this was their true beginnings, or the beginning of the crystallization of their artistic personality, or the beginning of one of the stages of their creative experiences.

The show includes the works of 149 artists from different generations, including 29 pioneers of the Egyptian plastic movement.
