His Excellency the artist Farouk Hosni, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Engineer Naguib Sawiris, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Farouk Hosni Foundation for Culture and Arts, members of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Walid Qanush, Head of the Fine Arts Sector, inaugurated the group exhibition for youth, followed by the Arts Awards ceremony in its sixth session for the year 2025, which is held at the Gezira Arts Center, in the presence of members of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, members of the awards judging committees, a large number of artists, critics, prominent figures, and leaders of the Ministry of Culture. Among the most prominent attendees were Dr. Zahi Hawass, the great thinker Mustafa El-Feki, Dr. Sameh Farid, former Minister of Health, the great writer / Mohamed Salmawy, Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Chairman of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, Engineer Mohamed Abu Saada, Head of the Urban Coordination Authority, Engineer Hamdi El-Satohi, Head of the Cultural Development Fund, and director Walid Aouni. Artist Farouk Hosni, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, addressed the role of the Ministry of Culture in sponsoring the Foundation’s activities, which gave it weight in the creative community. He also thanked all print and visual media outlets for their constant support of the Foundation and their interest in all the activities it provides to creative and distinguished youth, discovering them and presenting them to society. He also thanked the Board of Trustees for all their efforts in developing plans and strategies, which helped in the Foundation’s success in all the steps assigned to it. Artist Farouk Hosni also thanked the members of the arbitration committees. Engineer Naguib Sawiris, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, expressed his happiness in his speech at the announcement ceremony of the Farouk Hosni Foundation for Fine Arts Awards in its sixth session, praising the distinguished artworks displayed this year. The opening of the exhibition was accompanied by a classical music concert, and the awards ceremony began, presented by the distinguished media figure Jasmine Taha Zaki, and a documentary film entitled “The Story of an Award” was shown. The arts awards, which amount to one million Egyptian pounds, were distributed as follows:
Grand Merit Award
*** Won by the great artist Mohamed Mandour. The great writer Mohamed Salmawy, Secretary General of the Award, added in his speech that Mohamed Mandour is a distinguished artistic figure who extended the art of authentic Egyptian ceramics from the masterpieces of ancient Egypt, Coptic and Islamic to the aesthetics of contemporary ceramics in its most splendid forms. Mandour’s ceramic works are the living embodiment of this rare marriage between traditional authenticity and modernity.

Reham Mahmoud Ibrahim El-Wakil won first place and received the honorary shield, Vivian Amin Abdo Boutros won second place, and Fatima Hassan Mohamed Ibrahim won third place.

The first place was won by a group participation of Ahmed Abdel Qader Abdel Samee Awad, Marwa Hassan Mohamed Farouk and they received the honor shield, the second place was won by an individual participation of Hanin Walid Saeed Ali Yaqout, and the third place was won by an individual participation of Salma Samir Abdullah Ahmed Morsi. A certificate of thanks and appreciation was also won by a group participation of Ranad Bahaa Afifi Afifi Mohamed, Haidy Mohamed Abdel Hakim El Sayed, Habeeba Tahseen Salah El Din Hassan, Habeeba Mohamed Sayed Ibrahim.
