National Cinema Center Films Participate in the “Green Impact” Initiative

The Cinema Culture Center, part of the National Cinema Center and headed by Dr. Ahmed Saleh, is participating in the film events of the “Green Impact” initiative. Launched by the Theater Sector under the leadership of Professor Dr. Ayman El-Shiwy, this cultural and environmental initiative is titled “Green Impact: A Dialogue Between Nature and Art.”

The initiative's events will take place on June 16th and 17th, at 6:00 PM, at the Hanager Arts Center, headed by artist Shady Sorour.

The program includes a cultural seminar at the Supreme Council of Culture, chaired by Dr. Ashraf El-Azzazi, the Council's Secretary-General, as well as a fine arts exhibition in the Adam Henein Hall at the Hanager Arts Center.

The film screenings will be held at the Hanager Arts Center. The initiative's program also includes screenings of several documentaries about natural resources, presented by the Cinema Culture Center of the National Film Center. These films, produced by the National Film Center, will be shown in the foyer of the Hanager Arts Center.

Dr. Asmaa, the initiative's general coordinator, added that an exhibition of books addressing environmental issues will be held alongside the events in the foyer of the Hanager Arts Center, presented by the Greater Cairo Library. Several Egyptian universities and academic professors are participating in the initiative, along with a number of civil society organizations concerned with the environment, and individuals with state-recognized initiatives and projects.

The events will be attended by a distinguished group of officials from the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Planning, in addition to more than 50 visual artists supporting the initiative, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and the beauty of the environment.

It is worth noting that all events are free and open to the public.
