Doors Open to Recovery and Hope: An Invitation to the Launch of the "Recovery and Development Museum" Project at the Museum of Modern Art.

Within the walls of museums, stories reside, and now art meets awareness, transforming from spaces for preserving artifacts into community platforms that provide a safe environment for the psychological, social, and economic recovery of the most vulnerable groups. We are pleased to invite you to join us for the launch of the "Recovery and Development Museum" project, held under the patronage of Dr. Jehan Zaki, Minister of Culture, and implemented by the Fine Arts Sector, headed by Professor Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, in cooperation with the National Committee of Egyptian Museums (ICOM Egypt).

This will take place next Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Museum of Modern Art in the Cairo Opera House.

The event will begin at 11:00 AM with opening remarks on the initiative, delivered by Professor Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, with the participation of Professor Dr. Osama Abdel-Wareth and Ms. Mona El-Hakim. The project coordinators will present their vision and objectives for utilizing heritage and entrepreneurship as tools for empowerment and building hope. As the day progresses, the dialogue sessions will begin, featuring Professor Dr. Alaa Habashi, Dr. Reham Aram, Professor Rabab Saeed Abu El-Azm, Dr. Maha Helaly, and Professor Mosaad Herky, who will present ideas relevant to the realities of communities and support diverse groups.

The day's creative atmosphere will be further enhanced by the opening of the "Outside the Flock" exhibition at the Abaad Gallery, followed by a musical performance by artist Yassin Mahgoub.

Your presence will lend this first step of the humanitarian project a more interactive dimension. We look forward to seeing you as we embark on this exciting experience together.
