Mariam Exhibition Salah Taher Hall Music Library Egyptian Opera House August 17, 2024 From 10 am to 8 pm
At 7 pm, Salah Taher Hall at the Egyptian Opera House in Al-Gezira will host the opening of the solo exhibition "Mariam" by artist Mariam Wagih, which will continue until Thursday, August 22. The exhibition includes about 55 paintings in which the artist used acrylic, ecoline and pencil colors. It is worth noting that artist Mariam Wagih is the first Down syndrome person to join the Faculty of Arts. She conducted free studies with a grant provided by the college's deputy and studied four departments: graphics, sculpture, murals and oil painting. She has participated in many international and local exhibitions such as the Our Children's Fine Arts Exhibition for seven consecutive years. She received the forum's shield in its second session at the level of 36 European and Arab countries and won the Excellence Award in a competition with Al-Azhar for 3 years. She was honored by the Ministries of Education, Environment, Youth and Sports, and each ministry acquired a painting of her works, as well as the American Embassy. UNICEF praised her artistic talent.
