The Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Lamia Zayed, will host at 6 pm next Monday, at the Salah Taher Hall for Fine Arts, an exhibition of fine art entitled "Past and Present" by artist Alaa Hegazy.
The Egyptian Opera House stated - in a statement today, Friday - that the activities of the "Past and Present" exhibition by artist Alaa Hegazy are scheduled to continue until Wednesday, January 8, noting that the exhibition includes about 40 paintings executed with various materials, including charcoal and lead, through which he draws inspiration from symbols and decorations derived from ancient and contemporary Egypt in a style that combines drawing and modern artistic techniques, addressing a group of social issues, including identity and culture.
The Opera House indicated that the artist Alaa Hegazy graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting in 1986, and has several collections in Egypt, Kuwait and most of the Gulf countries, in addition to Spain, America, England and France.
