The Egyptian Opera House will host the photography exhibition "Spectrums of the Two Holy Mosques" by Saudi photographer Suzan Iskandar. It will open at 6:00 PM on Friday, April 24th, and continue until Monday, April 27th, at the Salah Taher Hall for Fine Arts.
The exhibition features approximately 100 photographs taken over the years during Hajj and Ramadan, revealing a profound human and spiritual connection between visitors and the holy sites of Mecca and Medina. The visual experience relies on innovative angles, particularly aerial photography, alongside documenting the major expansions of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque. The exhibition blends aesthetic appeal with spiritual depth through rare historical photographs, including works by the Dutch photographer Christiaan Snouck Hurgronje dating back over 150 years, and others by the Turkish photographer Faruk Aksoy.
The exhibition offers an artistic and cultural window into one of the holiest places, combining documentation and contemplation, and blending aesthetic appreciation with spiritual depth.
