Ceramic art embodies the buoyancy of the self... How does clay shape our hidden emotions? Discover this in the "State of Floatation" exhibition by artist Samar Abdel Sadek.
Between the weight of clay and the lightness of the idea, the artist skillfully employs ceramics as her medium to express the concept of "buoyancy" as a human and psychological state we all experience. The exhibition doesn't merely present silent sculptures, but rather poses a visual question about balance and liberation through innovative ceramic formations that blend academic precision with a contemporary and distinctive artistic spirit that touches the heart and sparks curiosity.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Professor Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, Head of the Fine Arts Sector, at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Karma Ibn Hani Cultural Center in the Ahmed Shawqi Museum in Giza. The exhibition will continue to welcome you daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (except Fridays and Mondays) until June 27, 2026. Join us in experiencing this exceptional artistic journey.
