The festival management gladly welcomes the participation of many foreign and Egyptian artists in the workshop of the Fourth Sun Boats Exhibition Festival, which begins its activities on Sunday, February 9, and concludes with the display of artworks amidst a grand celebration attended by those interested in fine arts in Egypt. Opening ceremony with the presence of participating artists and receiving them in one of the most important hotels in Minya, southern Egypt

Visiting tourist attractions in Minya City
-Days 3-5:
Various art workshops (drawing,) with the participation of artists.
- Seminars on the history of Minya city and the most important recent discoveries presented by the head of the German mission in Minya
- The seminar also includes
- Talking about the discoveries of the solar boat and its historical impact. - A presentation by the head of the Japanese mission that discovered the Khufu boat and the Grand Museum and how to transport the Khufu boat from the pyramid to the Grand Museum
Sixth day
An exhibition of works by participating foreign and Egyptian plastic artists
In the Grand Boat Hall with a closing ceremony and an awards ceremony.

Minya Governorate is gearing up to celebrate global creativity as the 4th Sun Boats Fine Arts Festival draws crowds from February 9 to 14, 2025. The event will bring together an impressive roster of 50 fine artists from 40 countries around the world, including Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Argentina, France, Germany, America, Colombia, Singapore, Kosovo, Brazil, Uruguay, Romania, Costa Rica, South Africa and Lebanon.

The festival will feature a diverse range of artistic expressions, providing a unique platform for both renowned international artists and talented local creatives.

The participation of academic artists from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Art Education alongside local artists will enrich cultural exchange and promote artistic growth within the community, a journey through history and modernity:

The festival will include a special drawing workshop, inviting participants to explore the Egyptian archaeological mix between history and modernity within the city of Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti. This immersive experience will undoubtedly inspire creative expression and deepen appreciation for Minya’s rich cultural heritage. Ismail Bakr, the visionary behind the Sun Boats Festival, emphasizes the profound impact of art on human life, and he believes that such cultural events play a crucial role in educating the public about the importance of artistic expression and its power to enrich our lives. Furthermore, the festival aims to contribute to the development of a unique form of cultural tourism, showcasing Minya’s artistic and historical treasures to a global audience.

The Sun Boats Festival stands proudly as a pioneering initiative in promoting visual arts along the Nile. With the unwavering support of the Egyptian government and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the festival has successfully hosted three previous editions, fostering artistic growth and promoting a vibrant art movement in Egypt and beyond.

The festival will conclude with a closing show about the city of Minya on February 14, 2025, at 6 pm. This magnificent finale will take place inside the grand halls of the Horus Ship on the banks of the Nile River, and promises to be an unforgettable experience for artists and art lovers alike.
