In a dazzling artistic atmosphere, the Mahmoud Said Museums Center in Alexandria hosted the "What Was Happening in Alexandria in 2000" celebration on Friday, November 7, 2025. The event, held in the Ajyal 1 and 2 Halls and the Museum of Modern Art in Alexandria, drew a notable audience of visual artists and pioneers of the art movement.
The celebration was inaugurated by Dr. Salwa Hamdi, Head of the Central Administration of Museums and Exhibitions, in the presence of Dr. Ibrahim El-Kerdani and Engineer Hassan Wasfi, Head of the Alexandria Syndicate of Visual Artists, along with a host of Alexandrian artists and creative figures, in an evening brimming with creativity and aesthetic dialogue.
