Moumina Farfour, a Syrian visual artist and writer, has published three literary books and several articles in Saudi newspapers, both print and electronic, in which she discussed humanitarian, social and artistic issues. She has been residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for thirty-five years. She holds a bachelor's degree from Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Department of Languages and Translation, and a master's degree in Cultural and Arts Management from the University of Rome for Business, Italy. She has several certificates from art courses. She started practicing art since she was young, as it was a hobby, then entered the artistic field as a visual artist ten years ago, and developed her skills through reading, observation and taking from the experience of the great contemporary artists around her, and also through her work as a producer of a cultural program on the Saudi Cultural Channel; where she prepared more than fifty Saudi and Arab artistic figures, so she gained a lot of information and experience from the guests of the episodes through preparation, as she used to discuss with them their artistic works and their careers. Most of the artist's works fall under the expressionist and impressionist school, but she has no restrictions on that, as she believes that art is not limited to one school only, but art is a science and discovery that is not limited to a specific party, but it is important for the artist to have a clear imprint that is known for it. The artist was distinguished by shedding light on humanitarian issues and the impact of the general atmosphere such as wars on human feelings. Recently, the artist has been interested in living creatures such as animals and insects and has focused on contemplating and meditating on the details of God's creation in the age of speed. The artist's works are characterized by the presence of geometric shapes such as diamonds and squares, as a symbol of her memories in her home country, Syria, as her grandfather's house had these geometric shapes in the house's tiles, and her last visit to Damascus was twelve years ago. The artist has participated in many local exhibitions and several international art exhibitions, including the United States of America in Florida.
