Enas Abdel Dayem is the former Egyptian Minister of Culture in the governments of Sherif Ismail and Mustafa Madbouly, and the president of the Egyptian Opera House until 2018. She is an international flutist.
Scientific qualification
Abdel Dayem began her studies at the Cairo Conservatoire, and after obtaining her bachelor's degree, she traveled on a scholarship to France until January 1990, where she obtained a master's degree and then a doctorate in flute from the High School of Music in Paris. During her studies, she obtained a higher diploma in the flute machine in 1984; And a higher diploma in flute performance in 1985, and a higher diploma in chamber music with the unanimous commendation of the jury in 1986, then a higher diploma in solo playing in chamber music in 1988, then a doctorate in flute from the High School of Music in Paris, with distinction with honors.

Enas Abdel Dayem graduated in many positions as head of the National Cultural Center Authority, then headed the Egyptian Opera House, and on January 14 she was sworn in as Minister of Culture of Egypt in the Ministry of Sherif Ismail and then the Ministry of Mostafa Madbouly.

Enas Abdel Dayem gave many concerts, including: concerts in many regions of France, in addition to a number of concerts with the UNESCO International Orchestra in Paris, as well as solo concerts with the Cairo Conservatory Orchestra. She also gave many solo concerts in several European and Arab countries such as: Czechoslovakia, Italy, Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, Japan, the United States of America and the United Kingdom, in addition to many radio programs, the most important of which was on Radio France in Paris, and she also participated in recording the works of the late Egyptian author Gamal Abdul Rahim in Germany and Cairo. And she participated with the Cairo Steps group by playing in the Frankfurt Opera and the Berlin Opera.
She received many appreciations and awards throughout her artistic career, including the first prize from the Association of Conservatories of Music in France in 1982, and a certificate of appreciation in the International Flute Competition in Kiba, Japan; And the best female musician award at the North Korean Arts Festival. She also represented Egypt at the Mediterranean Orchestra Festival, in Marseille, and was the first Egyptian to participate in this gathering.
In 1999, she established a class to teach the flute to children at an early age to develop talents at the Egyptian Opera House, and she supervised many scientific researches to obtain a doctorate and master’s degree in arts in many Egyptian universities and institutes, and she also participated in the preparation of educational curricula in Egypt and some Arab Countries, which is the technical advisor to the Orchestra of Light and Hope, an Egyptian orchestra for blind women.
In 2018, Enas Abdel Dayem performed with the Cairo Steps team in two concerts at the Cairo Opera House as the first Egyptian minister to play in front of an audience in office.
