Muhammad Al-Thaqafi is a Saudi sculptor and plastic artist (born in Taif in 1976 AD). He is the head of the Fine Arts Committee in the branch of the Culture and Arts Association in Taif, and one of his most prominent works is carving and engraving verses from the pendants on the rocks of the Souk Okaz meeting place in Taif. He has held a number of personal art exhibitions in sculpture, and he has more than one bilateral exhibition and more than two hundred participations in group exhibitions inside and outside Saudi Arabia. Among his personal exhibitions are “Ghayeb” exhibition in 2022, and “The Legend and the Stone” exhibition in 2007.

Okaz market sculptures
One of the most prominent works of the artist Muhammad Al-Thaqafi is the inscription of verses from the pendants on the rocks at the Souk Okaz Forum in 2009 AD. Selected verses from the pendants were carved on 22 rocks, and the writing process took 11 days to engrave and engrave.

He won second place in the Abha Cultural Competition in the field of artistic creativity (sculpture) for the year 1437/36 AH (2016 AD).
