Taghreed Al-Baqshi is a Saudi visual artist, born in Al-Ahsa. She holds a master’s degree in art education curricula, works as an art education supervisor, and is a founding member of the Saudi Society of Fine Arts. She began her career in the art world in 1999, and held more than 16 personal exhibitions. She also participated in More than 200 group exhibitions at the local and international levels, and she was the first Saudi woman to receive the Plastic Excellence Award within the activities of the Cultural Week of the Second Hijr Festival. She also won several awards, including the Arab Gold Oscar through her participation in the Free Creativity Jewelry Design Competition for the year 2002, and was awarded A certificate of merit and appreciation from the World Gold Council, a Bronze Palme Award at the Eighth Periodic Exhibition of Fine Arts and Arabic Calligraphy in Muscat in 2006, and a first, second and third level acquisition award at the Saudi Women Artists Exhibition.
Her professional life
She obtained a bachelor’s degree in science and education in 1420 AH with an excellent grade, and a master’s degree in curricula for teaching methods of art education from King Saud University in Riyadh. She worked as an art education supervisor in the Ministry of Education in Al-Ahsa schools. She also worked as a teacher at the Secondary Vocational Institute in Al-Ahsa in 2005, and an art education teacher. In the General Administration of Girls’ Education in 2006, in addition to being a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Society for Fine Arts, and a member of the Bahrain Society for Fine Arts, she has several artistic courses and participations in summer institutes for teaching plastic arts, and she has literary contributions and writings in Al-Youm newspaper and Al-Jazeera newspaper. It was also authorized by the Chairman of the Fine Arts Committee for Painting and Sculpture, the artist George Al-Zaatini, to invite Saudi female artists to participate in the Ehden International Symposium 2005.

She began her artistic stage in 1999, and her first exhibition was in 2001, after which she held more than 16 personal exhibitions at the local and international levels, and she has more than 200 participations in local and international exhibitions in Saudi Arabia, Muscat, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Dubai. Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, India, Austria, Korea, Germany, Argentina, London, Denmark, and Paris.
