The exemplary artist is Wael Al-Shafi’i, born in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, 1975. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the Faculty of Art Education in Zamalek, affiliated with Helwan University, in 1999.
The eminent artist Wael Al-Shafei participated in many local, regional and international exhibitions, and many solo exhibitions and group exhibitions. Among his sculptural artistic works, we mention: artistic works, murals of the military institution 2001 - participation in the works of Nahd Maidani for many historical figures, including a sculpture of the statue of Dr. Mustafa Musharafa - a statue of the international Nobel writer Naguib Mahfouz - the bird, the wave, and the dove of peace, with the participation of the great artist Sayed Abdo Selim in his studio in the period from 2001 to 2006.
Model Wael Al-Shafi’i also participated in the activities of the Agenda Collective Exhibition, which was held by the Library of Alexandria - the 2018 session - and the 2019 session. He participated in the fortieth and forty-first sessions of the general exhibition.
Among the group exhibitions in which the example Wael Al-Shafi’i also participated, a group exhibition in the Dhay Al-Arab Hall in 2019, which was held under the title “The Place” - the Nubia International Symposium in Aswan for Granite Sculpture in 2019 - a group exhibition in the Ismailia Culture Palace 2019 - a group exhibition in the Kafr El-Sheikh Culture Palace 2019 - “Beyond Corona” exhibition at Dhay Hall in 2020 - A group exhibition at Note Gallery in Zamalek - Tut Sculpture Salon 2023 - The Third Sculpture Salon at the Palace of Arts.
Artist Wael Al-Shafi’i received a full-time scholarship in the arts, awarded by the Supreme Council of Culture for the 2019-2020 session. He has many collections in the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and the Museum of Modern Art.
