Plastic artist Dalia Al-Saadi Badran: My designs are innovative and based on talent, instinct, and family heritage
The young plastic artist and sculptor, Dalia Al-Saadi Badran, participated in two exhibitions held in Jeddah over the past few days, in which she presented two of her distinctive artistic works, through which she received admiration and praise from the many artists, media professionals, and personalities attending the exhibitions.
“Ehsas” exhibition is an art museum
Regarding the first exhibition, the artist Dalia says: My participation in the “Ehsas” exhibition, which was actually an art museum due to the diversity of ages and art departments in it, and the display of dozens of works distributed between sculpture, portraiture, and various paintings. There were no restrictions on the fields, fields, and schools of art, so the spirit of art was emerging. From all parts of it, all the works from photographers to painters and sculptors were beautiful and worth stopping and contemplating. “Ehsas” exhibition was perhaps the true gateway to meeting the largest number of artists and art connoisseurs and hearing their opinions directly about my work. For me, all of my works are a turning point in my artistic life, especially since I was working silently away from fame and the artist community, and because I am a comprehensive artist who designs and furnishes interiors. And creating innovative paintings and murals, I started with an innovative design project, and I was keen to make my innovative designs appear to the public and not just implement and acquire them inside apartments or establishments, which are based on talent, instinct and family heritage - thanks to God - so the three-dimensional “Kingdom of Saudi Arabia mural” was its beginning, which had an echo. It was very large, and I was surprised at the time by the positive reaction of the audience from the giants of art and specialists in the field of sculpture and formation and their astonishment. It had been worked on for approximately 9 months, from creating the idea, designing and implementing it, integrating different materials of wood, resin and gypsum, making it sustainable, and creating the symbols of the main regions of the Kingdom and its borders in months. What distinguishes it is that it is all handmade. It was like a cultural, touristic and artistic work. It was an innovative masterpiece that was unparalleled. Expressions of praise and everyone’s contemplation and astonishment and their standing and returning to the work again came pouring in from the artists, the public and influencers. They were like badges engraved in my memory, including the artist. The sculptor Nasser Hawsawi, who said about the painting: “A very wonderful work... What planet are you from?”, and the artist Jouda Darwish, who said: “I cannot comprehend the beauty of the work,” and the artist Salonas Daghestani, who said: “We have never seen such work before.” “Outside the box of an idea and its implementation, whoever sees this work cannot help but stop.” I met the artist Salonas at this exhibition, and she was credited with allowing me to participate in the second exhibition due to her insistence and belief in my talent.
